The Frost - Damned and Forgotten CD

Ja, genau so muss das klingen, wenn man manchmal einfach nichts hören will von musikalischer Weiterentwicklung und intellektuellem Tiefgangsgedöns, wenn einem der Sinn nur nach simplem und rüden Schwarzstahl steht, wie man ihn heuer zwar in Massen, nur selten aber genießbar serviert bekommt. The Frost aus Kroatien bildet da aber eine der wenigen Ausnahmen, auch wenn hier das Rad wahrlich nicht neu erfunden wurde. Manchmal braucht es das aber auch gar nicht, wenn man nur ordentlich Wolfs- und Sturmgeheul als Vorspeise und räudig produziertes, monotones Gerumpel als Hauptgang bekommt. Nein, Innovation sucht man hier wahrlich vergebens, Alleinunterhalter Gorgor scheint das aber nicht zu kratzen und mir geht es ebenso. Dennoch wirkt die Sache sympathisch, einfach aufgrund der gesunden "Fuck Off"-Attitüde, mit der man sich hier scheinbar um jedes unnötige Anhängsel an eine ordentliche Eigenproduktion schert. Und so kann ich diese Veröffentlichung guten Gewissens all jenen empfehlen, für die es nicht immer mit der Progressiv-Keule sein muss und die ab und an auch mal die ganz einfachen Dinge (auch in der Musik) schätzen.
